The Women's Amateur Championship from June 10-15, 2025 - Nairn Golf Club
Nairn is set to host The Women's Amateur Championship from June 10-15, 2025. This is the second time Nairn Golf Club will host the event, with the first time being in 1979, when Maureen Madill won.
The championship will feature a strong field of players, including many of the world's top amateur golfers.
Nairn Golf Club is getting ready to host the Women's Amateur Championship this week, the leading championship in amateur golf for female golfers
The event runs from 10th to 15th June and entry for spectators is FREE

Helen Holm Scottish Womens' Open Championship
HELEN HOLM CHAMPIONSHIPWell done to P&K County Squad members Katy Alexander (Blairgowrie), Megan Ashley (Blairgowrie), and Jennifer Saxton (Dunfermline) who finished in the top 20 in the Helen Holm Scottish Womens' Open Championship at Royal Troon at the weekend. Unfortunately Zoe Davidson (Alyth) didn't make the cut for the final day.After 2 rounds on the Portland Course on Friday & Saturday, Katy, Megan & Jen played the final round on Royal Troon Old Course finishing 14th, T15th and T18th respectively in an international field of 59 who made the cut. North England Women's Amateur Championship
Goswick Golf Club and Seaton Carew Golf Club, the two premier links courses in North England, are joining forces to co-host the first-ever North England Women’s Amateur Championship 27th and 28th May. This new 54-hole event has been approved by the R&A for the awarding of World Amateur Golf Ranking points. And it takes place in the run up to the prestigious St Rule Trophy to be contested over the New and Old Courses in St Andrews the ensuing weekend. Scottish golfer accepts Augusta National invitation

Hannah Darling has accepted an invitation to make her fourth appearance in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur in April.
The Broomieknowe member will be flying the Saltire on her own in the Augusta National Golf Club-run event for the third year running after being joined for her debut in 2022 by Louise Duncan.
Darling tied for 27th in that first appearance then missed the cut the following year before producing her best effort so far when finishing seventh last year.
On this occasion, the University of South Carolina player will be among just three players from Great Britain & Ireland in the field as she joins English duo Patience Rhodes and Lottie Woad.
Woad, of course, is the defending champion after becoming the first European player to claim the coveted crown last April, when she came out on top by a shot from American Bailey Shoemaker.
Darling has recorded three top-five finishes on the US college circuit this season, including a win in the Annika Intercollegiate in September.
That triumph came hot on the heels of the Scottish No 1 helping Great Britain & Ireland pull off a stunning win over the US in the Curtis Cup at Sunningdale.
Playing in her third Curtis Cup, Darling was the only member of captain Catriona Matthew's team with previous experience in the biennial bout.
A total of 65 players have thus far accepted invitations, with Tsubasa Kajitani and Anna Davis, the winners in 2021 and 2022 respectively also set to be in the field.
Taking place the week prior to the 89th Masters, the first two rounds will be played at Champions Retreat Golf Club on 2-3 April before the top 30 and ties then progress to the final round at Augusta National on 5 April.

Let’s hear it for the girls!We’re passionate about shouting from the rooftops about the women and girls who blaze a trail in our sport.In 2024, our Winter Girls’ Golf programme, in collaboration with The R&A, Golf Ireland and Wales Golf, helped encourage beginner level golfers to get to handicap level and enjoy time on the course.Our first ever girls-only Golf Sixes League event at Anstruther in August brought together 35 youngsters for fun and competition before a trip to the final day of the AIG Women’s Open at St Andrews!We marked Women and Girls in Sport week in September by showcasing the story of Lesley Purdie – the first female captain at Bathgate Golf Club – and why volunteering at the AIG Women’s Open was such a joy for our own Emma Main!Lorna McClymont won the Scottish Women’s Amateur crown before finishing runner up in The R&A’s Women’s AmateurHannah Darling won her first collegiate event in America to cement her reputation as one of the game’s blossoming stars

One of those is Perthshire-based King James VI Golf Club who have quadrupled the number of women and girls in their ladies section since introducing Get into Golf Lessons 5 years ago.
In 2024 they've also increased the capacity of their ladies' lesson blocks due to high demand.The club works hard to engage beginner golfers and new members in the ladies section through dedicated practice sessions out on-course, learning opportunities with video tutorials and valuable time spent playing with club volunteers, social occasions with existing members and much more!Does your club have a story to share? Ellon Ladies win Robertson Cup Final against Inverurie
A huge well done to our Ellon Ladies who today won the Robertson Cup after defeating reigning champions Inverurie at Duff House𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀!
Congratulations to our Ellon quines who have won the Robertson Cup after defeating reigning champions Inverurie in the final at Duff House Royal Golf Club today. Our ladies won 6&2 to lift the cup for the first time in six years! 
On route to today’s final, the ladies also defeated Cruden Bay, Duff House and Peterhead. A huge well done to everyone who has been involved with the team throughout the competition, capping off a brilliant season for our ladies section. Thank you to Duff House Royal Golf Club for hosting the final.
