There’s a lot of negativity towards Jon Rahm this week but I think he did 100% the right thing. He has a foot problem, but he’s an athlete, he wanted to do everything he could to play. Any sportsman knows that feeling.
So he came to Pinehurst and tried. BUT seeing that it wasn’t going to work out he withdrew early; giving the first alternate the chance to play.
Whatever his golf career decisions and whether we like them or not, Jon did the right thing.
