The Hutcheon* - The Scottish Men’s Mid-Amateur Open Strokeplay Championship
Aptly named after Ian Hutcheon, arguably one of the greatest Scottish amateurs of all time.
“Hutch” landed four national individual titles, a Lytham Trophy Title, and helped Scotland claim the European title twice and also led Great Britain & Ireland to an Eisenhower Trophy triumph.

This competition is a 54-hole Strokeplay, which will be played with 2 rounds of Strokeplay on Saturday, with the top 30 (and ties) competitors playing a final round on Sunday
Entry fee is £70

“The Hutcheon” is open to ALL golfers with a handicap of no more than 3.4, who are 25 years of age and over on the 1st day of the competition (16th of May) are members of a “Recognised Golf Club” by their respective National Golf Union.
We will not accept entries from entrants who are solely members of OpenPlay (Scotland) or any other organisation who charges a flexible subscription to merely maintain Handicap Indexes for independent golfers.
In the event of being oversubscribed competitions committee reserves the right to reduce the number by handicap ballot.
A Scottish Ballot will take place to ensure that 50% of the field remains made up of Scottish Golfers. An Open Ballot will then be carried out to make up the remainder of the field
