Our Club’s biggest event of the year, every year, fast approaches. The KJVI Sportsman’s Dinner is now only 47 days away and plans are in place to make it another fantastic night for our members, friends and guests. An excellent menu is in place, and our keynote speaker, Bill Copeland is excited to be returning to one of Scotland’s premier dinners of the year.
The KJVI dinner is recognised as one of the top gigs among speakers on the dinner circuit. This is down to the fabulous audience we deliver and the fact that it’s all done in the usual, fun filled formula that is at the heart of our Club brand. We asked long time member and KJVI “Man on the Mic” and MC for the evening Ray Smethurst how his preparation was going. Ray said, “Well I’ve ordered a new tie, and I’m currently tweaking my speech as we speak!” Oh Oh! That’s bad news for some Club targets as usual!
Fellow event organiser Ian McPhee added “Ray and I have had a sit-down sample of the full menu planned for the night – a lovely three coarser, we think the guys will be impressed".
So, all good, but what’s still to be done? We need more members to get their tickets, it’s important that we keep this important fundraiser about KJVI and by KJVI so “MEMBERS COME ON DOWN”
We’ve got a lot of new members who haven’t yet had the “Sportsman’s Dinner Experience” - try it, you’ll see what we mean about being part of a golf club not just a golf course. Register at the Club Office or Golf Shop as an individual or with a mate or mates, we’ll make sure you are placed at a friendly table. £50 is fantastic value to brush off the festive season cobwebs, have a few drinks, a three-course meal and some side-splitting laughs.
