Scottish Kidney Golf Challenge
Course number 341 of 591
Murrayshall Golf Club Lynedoch Course
After the 36 hole open on the main course, we decided to play the 10 hole Lynedoch Course.
To make up the 18 holes, you play holes 1-9, 2-9, then down the 10th/18th. We only had time to play the 10 holes due to running out of daylight.
This 5684y Par 70 woodland course was in good condition, and the greens were just as good as the Murrayshall course. It had water hazards, bracken-filled gullies, undulating greens, and tall scots pine trees that narrow your view on tee shots and approach shots into the greens.
Paul had played the course when it was an 18-hole course and pointed out some of the holes that are no longer in use. The massively downhill hole, which i believe was the old par 4 15th aptly named "View", looked mental lol.
My favourite hole on this course was the par 3 5th/13th at 106y. A narrow green that is protected by 3 big bunkers left right and back. The hole is framed perfectly with gorse bushes and trees behind the green. A very short but brilliant hole visually.
The Murrayshall estate is perfect for a full day out. 28 terrific golf holes in a beautiful part of perthshire and a restaurant to satisfy your hunger between rounds. Absolutely one to visit if you haven't already.
The journey to play them all continues
