Assistant Greenkeeper Vacancy
An opportunity has arisen to join us at Buckpool Golf Club as an Assistant Greenkeeper. Located in Buckie, Buckpool Golf Club is regarded as having some of the best greens in the north east, and recently featured in Today's Golfer's Top 100 GB&I rankings at No.20 for courses £40 and under.
The role presents an excellent opportunity for the individual to develop their skills and further their career within the industry. Applicants should have a proven ability as an Assistant Greenkeeper, be able to work under pressure and respond proactively to the varied requirements of a busy golf club. The successful applicant will need to show a keen eye for detail, have an excellent work ethic, and show passion and drive to better themselves and grow within the team. You will report directly to the Head Greenkeeper. Weekend work is essential and is done on a rota system. The ability to work alone and along with others while showing leadership is required.
Requirements:
SVQ Level 2 (minimum)
PA1, 2 and 6 spraying certificates preferred but not essential.
Minimum 3 years greenkeeping experience.
Knowledge of modern machinery and maintenance, and hands on experience.
A good knowledge of health and safety in greenkeeping is a must.
The ability to plan and carry out turf maintenance would be preferred.
