Huge congratulations to our new County Champion, Sammy Fotheringham from Nairn Golf Club who beat Thurso Golf Club’s Laura Durrand in this afternoon’s final, 2/1.
Congratulations also to Suzie Abbott from Nairn Golf Club who beat Nairn Dunbar Golf Club’s Susan Glenn in the handicap final.
Massive thank you to Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club Links for hosting this years championship, the course was in superb condition.

HELEN HOLM CHAMPIONSHIP
Well done to P&K County Squad members Katy Alexander (Blairgowrie), Megan Ashley (Blairgowrie), and Jennifer Saxton (Dunfermline) who finished in the top 20 in the Helen Holm Scottish Womens' Open Championship at Royal Troon at the weekend. Unfortunately Zoe Davidson (Alyth) didn't make the cut for the final day.
After 2 rounds on the Portland Course on Friday & Saturday, Katy, Megan & Jen played the final round on Royal Troon Old Course finishing 14th, T15th and T18th respectively in an international field of 59 who made the cut. Congratulations to Megan Ashley for her eagle on the par 5 12th on the final day.

Summer shot two under to win by one shot from Carinne Taylor and Craig Cuthbert.

Congratulations to defending champions Midlothian who retained their title. North and Lanarkshire finished with 1.5 contest points each. Lanarkshire take the runners up prize with 17.5 match points to our 15, so we finish in 3rd place. A fantastic weekends golf from our whole team who gave their all and did the North proud as always
